Text Box: U.S.S. New Orleans CA32 History This heavy cruiser, commissioned in 1934 and decommissioned in 1946, served valiantly during WW II and earned 17 Battle Stars. She was at Pearl Harbor during the surprise attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941.
